Each of the HUF houses in this carefully conceived development retains a personal individuality. Each had been planned with meticulous attention to detail using products of the highest quality. The fusion of wood and glass in a classic beam and post architecture provides the distinctive grand design characters where sunlight and the naturally changing moods of an outdoor environment may be experienced face to face outside or marvelled and enjoyed from inside. Within the basic form of the rear garden landscape at this particular house, a new focal point was created in the garden where the eye could rest and dream from a first floor view, as well as be equally satisfied when embraced by it outdoors

Key Features

At a short distance from, and to one side of the rear facade of the house, a pergola has been created to complement the HUF HAUS style and to shelter and contain a new seating area with long diagonal views both looking back to the house and forward across the sweep of the garden

A feature bridge at lower level has been constructed to access the pergola by crossing a natural land drainage area. The bridge has been formed to match the style of the pergola as well as provide a natural access from the garden and house

Paddle Stones

The spiral shaped ground level feature made here by laying a continuous paddle stone path that cascades naturally from beneath the decking area provides the opportunity to enclose new planting areas that have been laid out on the newly created embankment directly adjacent to the seating area

Pergola & Decking

The seating area beneath the pergola laid with composite decking offers a maintenance free, UV stable solution with constant colour contrast to the surrounding landscape throughout the seasons and yet reflect the moving shadows created by the passage of the sun across the orthogonal beam architecture of the overhead pergola beams
